The College is pleasantly situated on the northern outskirts of the Cathedral City of Hereford, in the heart of the Wye Valley. It is an ideal centre from which to explore the Border Country and the Forest of Dean. The Royal National College has recently been through a period of redevelopment which includes a luxury en-suite residential block beside a large Sports Building block called Point4 containing rooms with the latest sports equipment for disabled people as well as a Bistro and many committee rooms.
Activities open to all members include recitals by tutors, concerts by students, a choir, a barn dance and other musical activities.
Accommodation is in en-suite single rooms, with a shared kitchen and shared sitting room with TV and lifts to all floors. Gardner Hotel offers accommodation in single, double and twin bedded rooms with lifts to all floors. Prices on request. Non-participant spouses/partners can be accommodated.
Fees include all meals and special dietary requirements can be catered for.
The Course runs from teatime on Saturday until lunch-time on Friday. Observers will be most welcome and can attend all classes, lectures and concerts.
Practice facilities are available . Private lessons may be booked with any tutor for a fee.
Minimum age for acceptance is 18.
We reserve the right to cancel a class if insufficient numbers apply. If a tutor cancels, a substitute will be appointed as well as an extra tutor if necessary.
